President of Bahrain’s National Guard Visits Pakistan

Bahrain’s National Guard President Lt-General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa (photo) met Pakistani Chief-of-Staff, Lt-General Zubair Mahmoud Hayat, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

The Pakistani Army Chief-of-Staff welcomed Sheikh Mohammed’s visit to Pakistan as part of development of the existing military cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Pakistan.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Lt-General Zubair Mahmoud Hayat on his appointment as Chief-of-Staff of the Pakistani Armed Forces, praising the efforts of the Pakistani Army in supporting the regional security and stability and fighting terrorism, wishing the Islamic Republic of Pakistan more progress and prosperity.

They discussed various issues of shared interest including the Islamic Military Coalition Against Terrorism.

They also reviewed the bilateral cooperation and friendship ties, commended the advanced level of the bilateral ties in all fields, especially lauding the military cooperation.

Lt-General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa the President of the National Guard also met the Pakistani Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI)’s Director-General, Lt-General Naveed Mukhtar.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Lt-General Naveed Mukhtar on his appointment as Chief of Inter-Services Intelligence, lauding the accomplishments of the Pakistani armed forces and security agencies in fighting terrorism and safeguarding the region’s security and stability, wishing the Islamic Republic of Pakistan further progress and prosperity.

Sheikh Mohammed commended the advanced level of cooperation and friendship ties in all fields, especially the military and intelligence coordination and cooperation.
