OPTSYS, a French company specializing in protected vision for armored vehicles and subsidiary of the Nexter Group, presented an innovative demonstrator, OPTSee, at last week’s DSEI show (10-13 September 2013, London).

Dynamic and interactive, the demonstrator will be equipped with the DVE (Driver Vision Enhancement) range, including two breakthrough innovations, unique on the market, responding to the dimensional and integration constraints on a military vehicle. Firstly, ViDOK, a compact and cost effective independent video module allowing video to be added to any periscope thanks to its innovative fastening system: an economically attractive solution for upgrading an M113-type vehicle. Then there is RuDi, a rugged touch-screen display that can be easily integrated into any vehicle configuration thanks to its adjustable connectors.

Moreover, OPTSYS confirms its position as a recognized player in the LSAS market as it has been mass producing its ViPer system (360° vision) since 2012, which you can discover with the latest ViPER 361° development on the demonstrator.

Meanwhile, OPTSYS has signed a partnership agreement with SCHOTT, proving themselves as an integrator of complete armored glass solutions with high added value.

OPTSYS, the protected vision expert, combines responsiveness, innovation and field experience to provide operators with solutions in optical and digital direct vision which are suitable and reliable for the operational requirements of land defense. A subsidiary of the Nexter group, OPTSYS is based in St Etienne, France.
