Emmanuel Levacher has been appointed President Volvo Group Governmental Sales. He will assume his new assignment June 1, 2015.

Emmanuel Levacher joined the Volvo Group in 1989 and has a long experience in various managerial positions within Renault Trucks, Renault Cars, and Volvo. His current position is Senior Vice President, International Business, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles in New Delhi, India. Emmanuel Levacher will replace Stefano Chmielewski who will retire.

The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine and industrial engines. The Group also provides complete solutions for financing and service.

The Volvo Group, which employs about 100,000 people, has production facilities in 19 countries and sells its products in more than 190 markets.

In 2014 the Volvo Group’s sales amounted to about SEK 283 billion (EUR 31 billion). The Volvo Group is a publicly-held company headquartered in Göteborg, Sweden. Volvo shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
