At last week’s World Defense Show (WDS 2022), solutions provider HENSOLDT presented its complete range of mission management solutions including ARGOSIA for air surveillance and intelligence missions, VIGILANTE for littoral protection and border surveillance and LYNCEA for Naval missions.
These mission systems, combined with the complete HENSOLDT sensor portfolio such as ARGOS gimbals, NIGHTOWL cameras or QUADOME naval air and surface surveillance radars allow HENSOLDT to deliver complete and integrated mission solutions.
At WDS which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 06-09 March, HENSOLDT presented several versions of the naval combat management system, including:
- LYNCEA PATROL: A federated and modular CMS for vessels ranging from OPVs to light Frigates. Flexible in terms of equipment choice for sensors and effectors, LYNCEA PATROL provides a clear tactical situation and is able to send target designation.
- LYNCEA DEFEND: A collaborative and intuitive close-in Defense Management System for asymmetric threats such as unmanned platforms, swimmers and rockets when sailing close to shorelines or when docked.
- LYNCEA COMBAT: An integrated CMS with warm redundancy for full combat capability intended for heavily armed ships.
All LYNCEA solutions are scalable and can be fitted with, for example, NATO or proprietary datalinks, light displays for commandos, a multi-touch plotting table. The LYNCEA CMS has a native HENSOLDT sensor support but, is also compatible with a wide variety of other sensors from third parties.
Setup and commissioning services as well as obsolescence treatment are also available at HENSOLDT for a full project management of new ships or mid-life upgrades.
