Nexter, PT Len to Offer In-Service Support for Indonesian Army’s CAESAR Fleet

At Eurosatory 2022 which took place in Paris last week (13-17 June), PT Len and Nexter announced the signature of a multiannual In-Service Support (ISS) contract for the CAESAR fleet in service within the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD).

This ISS features a comprehensive package of services, including on-site technical assistance, delivery of spare parts and training to ensure the highest readiness of the CAESAR fleet for the benefit of the Indonesian Army.

Jean-Michel GIRARD, Vice-President of the customer services business unit at Nexter, declared: “We are very proud to initiate a fruitful collaboration with PT Len for the maintenance of the CAESAR fleet. This is a first step in Nexter’s ambition to develop local support and provide best possible services to the Indonesian Army. Nexter strongly believes in building a strong and long-term industrial partnership with national defence industries for the highest satisfaction of the Indonesian end users.”

PT Len Industri (Persero) declared: “We are pleased to collaborate with Nexter, a world class trusted company, for this long-term partnership. It is an important step to strengthen Len’s position in defence industry. We are both ready to maintain the CAESAR artillery system in order to deliver an excellent service to the Indonesian army.

The group’s range of products also includes TITUS® and VBCI armored vehicles, CAESAR® and 105LG1 artillery systems, smart ammunition (BONUS®, KATANA®), robots and many equipment.

Nexter’s 2021 turnover amounted to €1.3 billion, including 30% devoted to customer services, from training to fleet management to support and revaluation.
