Saudi Crown Prince Receives Commander of Pakistani Army

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received Wednesday at his office in Jeddah the Commander of the Pakistani Army Lieutenant General Asim Munir.

During the meeting, discussions centered around various aspects of the military cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan, alongside addressing mutual interests, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Attending the reception were including the Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, the Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan, and the Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, and Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki.

Representing Pakistan were Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, Secretary to the Commander of the Pakistani Army Major General Mohammed Jawad Tariq, and the Military Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan in the Kingdom Brig. Muhammad Asim.

Meanwhile, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Minister of Defense, met in Jeddah Thursday with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak.

At the outset of meeting, the Minister of Defense conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince to the Prime Minister of Yemen, as well as their wishes for Yemen and its people for stability and prosperity, while the Prime Minister of Yemen extended his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in the Yemeni affairs and the efforts exerted to complete and implement the road map, under the supervision of the United Nations.

They also discussed the existing efforts to support the political process between the Yemeni parties and achieve security and stability in Yemen.

During the meeting, the Minister of Defense affirmed the Kingdom’s firm position in supporting the government of Yemen and its people, in a way that meets their aspirations and contributes to the development and prosperity of Yemen.

The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, and several other officials from both sides.
