Elettronica is attending this years’ DIMDEX maritime and defence technology exhibition currently taking place in Doha, Qatar, from 21-23 March 2022.

The event provides an excellent opportunity to reaffirm Elettronica’s commitment to Qatar’s Armed Forces and their Electromagnetic Support Operations (EMSO) capabilities.

Elettronica has enjoyed a long association with the Qatari military. Its systems are deployed throughout the Qatari Emiri land forces, navy and air force. Reflecting this commitment, Elettronica opened a representative office in Qatar in 2017.

The company has seen its systems deployed on Qatari Emiri Navy warships. Elettronica also provided electronic warfare systems onboard the Qatari Emiri Air Force’s Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft and NH-90 helicopters. Elettronica is delighted to be the EMSO point of reference for the Qatari Emiri Armed Forces and expects to expand this relationship via its new subsidiary.

The company is looking forward to establishing a new subsidiary in Qatar to directly support the country’s armed forces. While equipment forms a key part of EMSO provision, the importance of operational support cannot be underestimated. Elettronica is confident that the new subsidiary will be established by the end of 2023. This local subsidiary will play a vital role in providing EMSO training, simulation and analysis to our Qatari counterparts. It will also look at how to further improve the employment of Elettronica’s EMSO systems already used by the Qatari military.

Elettronica Group based in Rome, has been on the cutting edge of Electronic Warfare for more than 70 years, supplying strategic surveillance capabilities, self-defence and electronic attack systems for naval, airborne and ground use to the Armed Forces and Governments of 30 Countries.

The Group is composed by Elettronica S.p.A, headquarter leader in full EW capabilities, CY4GATE, specialised in Cyber EW, Cyber Security and Intelligence, and Elettronica GmbH, the German subsidiary specialised in EW signal processing design and production and Homeland Security solutions.
