Gulf Aviation Training Event, the dedicated aviation training conference taking place within the Dubai Airshow has announced its speaker line up for the event. Attendees will hear from industry leaders on 13 November 2017 who will share knowledge and lead panels designed to help drive aviation training in the region into the future.
Following a keynote address from Adel Ali, CEO of Air Arabia, the first panel will investigate training developments with a view to identifying how the Middle East is keeping ahead of the curve. Moderated by Alan Peaford, Editor in Chief of Arabian Aerospace, other contributors include Victor Brandao, General Manager of Alpha Aviation Academy, Pierre Wannaz, Senior Advisor of CEFA, Osama Al Sayed, Head of Business Development, GAA and Fatima Al Marzouqi, Head of Education and Training - Aerospace, Renewables and ICT of Mubadala.
Attendees will also hear from Captain Torbjorn Wisher, Global Leader of Training Strategy at CAE who will present “How to Better Train A Pilot”, and Greg Darrow, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at customized computer based training provider CPaT will address what else is needed to move with the speed of technology in aviation training.
In addition, Professor Julie Lydon OBE, Vice-Chancellor of the University Of South Wales and Alberto Bernabeo, Senior Lecturer of Aviation at Abu Dhabi University will lead a panel discussion on engineering training, with a particular focus on state-of-the-art new facilities to improve and expand training and higher education in the UAE.

The GATE conference takes place within the Dubai Airshow on 13 November 2017, and includes a dedicated pavilion within the show where aviation training companies including Emirates Aviation Services, Alpha Aviation Academy and Sevenair will be exhibiting, among others.
