UAE Ministry of Interior, NYPD Sign MoU

H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended the signing of a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Interior Ministry and the New York Police Department (NYPD) regarding joint training and sharing of best practices, UAE national news agency WAM reported.

The MoU was signed by Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director General of the UAE’s Federal Criminal Police, and Chief Thomas Galati of the NYPD Intelligence Bureau.

Earlier, Sheikh Saif met Galati at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Furthermore, Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, has met with Chief Thomas Galati of the New York City Police Department Intelligence Bureau.

During the meeting, Al Rumaithi and Galati discussed ways to improve bilateral relations and security cooperation between the Abu Dhabi and New York police departments.
