HE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah said that the national service is not the only thing that the homeland needs but it requires sacrifices until death, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the second batch of the national service, Al Attiyah noted that making a sacrifice to the country is an endless and unlimited effort in national work, adding that the armed forces command seeks to promote this effort and develop it for the future of the homeland.

He also said that the national service is not merely a military work but it is loyalty to the country, which involves many areas, such as environment and security and other things that the Qatari citizen should be aware of.

HE the minister explained that the recruits have completed their studies at a short period, which reflects their loyalty and belonging to their homeland and their keenness on learning, especially in defending and securing their homeland, hoping that these recruits will be a nucleus for the future of the country.

He thanked Ministries that contributed to the success of this session, notably the ministries of Interior, environment and education, offering his congratulation to Qatar over the graduation of the batch.

He also congratulated HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on this occasion, wishing the graduating young people to serve their homeland and to dedicate themselves as they did in the session.
