Under the Patronage of HRH Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia, the General Directorate of Border Guards is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the order for the formation of the first Border Guard unit by Saudi Arabia’s Founder King Abdulaziz, by organizing the International Conference & Exhibition on Border Security.
This first time event will be held from 2-7 June 2012 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.
The exhibition will have the participation of a large number of VIPs like:
- The Royal Highness Princes, Ministers, Judges, Religious leaders, Directors of Universities and Directors government departments in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf region, and the Middle East.
- Leaders and Directors of Border Guards from all Arab countries and the Middle East.
- Diplomatic missions, Ambassadors and Military Attaches in the Kingdom.
- Major regional and global companies specialized in the development and manufacturing of military equipment and security systems, weapons, aircraft, naval and border security, communications and logistical support.
The Conference will address the following issues:
- Appraise the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in developing and securing its borders.
- Shed light on Border Security and highlight the problems, solutions and modern trends.
- Identifying the exceptional experience and expertise in Border Security at the local, regional and international levels.
- From such a goal stem several secondary objectives, such as: defining international boundaries and the date they came into being; identifying obstacles and challenges that face Border Security and the modern methods and techniques applied in their application; in addition to highlighting the importance of Border Security in the economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects of life.
