The withdrawal of American combat troops from Iraq will not imply a reduction in flights of unmanned aircrafts but the flight hours will rise, according to U.S. Army officials. 

The last American combat brigade pulled out of Iraq and crossed into Kuwait at dawn on Thursday, almost seven and a half years after the US-led invasion ousted Saddam Hussein, a US military spokesman said.

Oshkosh Defense announced its first ever order for vehicles to the Iraqi Armed Forces. The inaugural order is for 60 Heavy Equipment Transporter Systems (HETS), which includes the Oshkosh HET vehicle and a trailer. Oshkosh also will provide operator training, spare parts, and manuals.

Through a partnership with the U.S. Navy and U.S. industry designed to help bolster Iraq’s maritime security, 50 Iraqi sailors graduated from patrol boat training during a ceremony at the Swiftships Shipbuilding facility in Morgan City, Louisiana, this past week.
