Brigadier General Saleh Mohamed Saleh Alameri, Commander of the UAE Land Forces and Head of Pak-UAE Defense Cooperation Committee accompanied the UAE Chief-of-Staff.

Last month, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, during his visit to the UAE on 22 February 2015, discussed bilateral defence and security cooperation as well as collaboration and regional security with the top UAE defense leaders.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) held then separate meetings with Chief-of-Staff of the UAE Armed Forces General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumeithy and other senior military officials to discuss matters of mutual interest and bilateral defense ties of the two countries.

The UAE leadership appreciated Pakistan’s achievements in fight against terrorism especially Operation Zarb-e-Azb and showed keen interest to enhance training exchanges with Pakistan Army.

General Raheel Sharif also visited the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. He toured stalls of various countries including China, Russia, UAE and Pakistan at the show.
