DCI, through AIRCO, its aeronautical department, provides high level services in the fields of electronic warfare, intelligence and aviation safety. More than 7,000 trainees from 100 countries have been trained over the last 30 years.

The DCI Electronic warfare (EW) section provides trainings updated in line with technological advances thanks to a close cooperation with the best French industrial experts in the field (Thales, MBDA, Lacroix ...). Every technological innovation is taken into account in the trainings and through innovative simulation tools developed with the ABAK Systèmes company.

Building on a large operational experience in the use of EW techniques and tactics, DCI-AIRCO provides training to all the officers who will manage operational EW units from the Air force, the Navy air force and the Army aviation as well as the national Electronic warfare centre.

DCI has also developed a specialised section in military intelligence and image intelligence. DCI offers comprehensive trainings to teach trainees how to extract and analyse information from air and space images. These trainings can be applied in military and civil environments.

Regarding aviation safety, the French Institute for Aviation Safety (IFSA) was created in 1987 and is teaching prevention and air incidents and accidents investigation. Constantly updated, the teaching integrates latest advances regarding Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Safety Management Systems. IFSA aims at armed forces and airlines operators as well as civil and military aviation administrations managers.

Created in 1972, DCI is an intermediate sized service company with the French government as the concurring shareholder.

DCI is culturally close to the Ministry of Defence. Its main mission is to transfer to France friendly foreign countries the French Armed Forces know-how including:

  • Consulting and assistance throughout the life cycle of armament programs
  • Training engineering in the academic, operational and technical fields

DCI and its subsidiaries have been partners of the French Armed Forces for 10 years within the scope of service contracts and are endeavouring to extend their activities to European Union countries.
