Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) is showcasing a range of systems including airborne early warning and control, C4ISR, radars, defense electronics, cyber security and an upgraded helicopter cockpit at the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2015 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
NGC is also featuring leading maritime capabilities, including mine-countermeasure solutions ALMDS and AQS-24, at NAVDEX, the naval defense and maritime security section of IDEX.

In addition, Northrop Grumman and the Higher Colleges of Technology will sign on 24 February a Memorandum of Understanding to continue the Innovation Challenge program. This unique competition empowers college students in the UAE to design, build and fly unmanned aircraft as part of the company's support for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.

“Northrop Grumman is committed to being a trusted, long-term partner with Gulf Cooperation Council countries. IDEX and NAVDEX 2015 are opportunities to renew those ties, shine a spotlight on our leading capabilities and work closely with our customers to enhance the security and development of the region,” said Doug Raaberg, Chief Executive, Northrop Grumman United Arab Emirates.

A featured attraction of Northrop Grumman's IDEX exhibit is the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye airborne early warning and control tactical workstation, which enables visitors to simulate operating an E-2D and learn about its data-gathering features.

The exhibit is also spotlighting Northrop Grumman's industry-leading radar technologies, including Longbow fire control radars for the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and ground-based radars such as the AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar and the AN/TPS-78 and TPS-703 air surveillance and air traffic control radars.

Among the advanced defense electronics systems on display are the AN/APR-39 radar warning receiver which protects a wide variety of fixed-, rotary- and tilt-wing aircraft, and the AN/AAQ-28(V) LITENING pod, a combat-proven, self-contained, multisensor targeting and surveillance system.

Northrop Grumman offers a full range of open, interoperable, cyber-hardened command and control solutions. These include the Citadel Enterprise Battle Command System, a cyber-secure, rapidly deployable and mobile command-and-control system that delivers a single integrated air picture to enable better, timelier decision making.

In addition, Northrop Grumman is showcasing its upgraded helicopter cockpit. Derived from the U.S. Army's UH-60V Black Hawk program, the system allows customers to have an affordable, highly digital, integrated suite of avionics equipment. The system's integrated architecture can be applied to many platforms through a single software package.
