The bespoke Airways Foundation Course prepares cadets for either European EASA and Australian CASA pathways with high level theoretical knowledge which covers aviation fundamentals including Aviation English, Meteorology, Aerodynamics, Navigation among others over a period of 8 to 15 weeks (subject to cadet requirements) as a first step towards commencing their commercial flight training for aeroplanes or helicopters in the UK or Australia.
Mahmoud Alhawaj, one of the trainee graduates in the program, said: “I feel I have learned so much during the course and now feel confident and even more excited to start my practical training at the Airways Aviation training facilities in Australia.”
Aviation instructor Captain Ahmed Refay said: “I am really impressed with the high level of enthusiasm and depth of knowledge that this first group of cadets have graduated with. They came in with absolutely no aviation background, and today the first of them have arrived in Australia to continue their flight training. I am very proud of them, and can't wait to see them in the cockpits of large commercial jets.”
