Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) announced its sponsorship of the Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) Middle East Summit 2014.

The 3rd edition of the highly successfulOffshore Patrol Vessels Middle East summit will take place from 8-10 December 2014 at the InterContinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Over 200 maritime security experts are expected to attend from the region and abroad as they discuss the latest trends, challenges and emerging threats impacting regional maritime security. They will also be at OPV Middle East to evaluate the latest naval systems and platforms that can assist in countering threats and protecting critical infrastructure.

Chaired by Rear Admiral (R) Ahmed Al Sabab Al Teneiji, former Chief of the UAE Navy and Chairman of OPV Middle East, the summit is attended annually by senior and respected members of the regional and global maritime security sector.

Chiefs of Staff, Naval Commanders, Senior Coast Guard Officials, Naval Officers, security authorities and industry attend OPV Middle East to promote collaboration and cooperation in order to create a safer and more secure maritime environment.
