DCI Expands Presence & Activities in the Gulf & Worldwide

As DCI celebrates its 40th Anniversary, the group finishes the last year of its strategic plan currently in force, “Ambition 2012: become the reference operator for the transfer of military know-how in France and abroad”.

The “Ambition 2012” plan that was launched in July 2008 has enabled DCI to meet its main development objectives:

  • The group has virtually doubled its turnover between 2007 and 2012, increasing from 112 million Euros in 2007 to over 200 million Euros expected in 2012.
  • The order book has progressed significantly, increasing from 137 million Euros at the end of 2006 to 311 million Euros at the end of 2011. Orders taken are divided among 20 countries worldwide.

This progress in DCI's activities results from sustained commercial efforts in France and abroad.

Firstly, DCI increased its number of offices abroad to four (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar in 2009), enabling enhanced proximity to its customers. A 3-year renewal of the helicopter fleet maintenance contract in Kuwait, as well as the installation in 2011 of a helicopter pilot training academy in Qatar, are two examples of successful services in this area.

In addition to the Gulf countries, DCI is also present in Asia and Latin America and intends to come closer to emerging countries. Malaysia has recently entrusted DCI with the creation of its submariners' school.

In France, DCI has been pertinent in its position on outsourcing with Hélidax that has generated a turnover exceeding 21 million Euros in 2011.

DCI's long-standing activity, training, consulting and assistance for foreign countries, continues to grow and represents 54% of activity in 2012. DCI has largely invested to professionalize its training activities, notably regarding academic issues. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar trust DCI to train their future engineering officers and young cadets, in France and in liaison with the French Navy and top-level engineering colleges.

DCI intends to continue its growth within the scope of a new 2013-2017 business plan. In its characteristic partnership spirit, the DCI group will emphasize its partnership logic in the implementation of its services, by making customer satisfaction its number one priority. DCI also intends to reinforce its general service offers focused on defense and security know-how.
